ADMISSIONS

  • Step 1: Read Our Applicant Requirements (click here)
Libertas Academy is committed to cultivating life-long learners with a firm foundation in Christ Jesus. Our mission is to instill in each student a love for truth, wisdom, and beauty through the use of excellent materials, in an orderly setting, founded on a growing personal relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ. The mission of Libertas Academy is to provide students with an education to the “whole-man” based upon a decidedly biblical world and life view and structured to support the moral, social, physical, and spiritual development occurring in the Christian home. Academic instruction will be rigorous – designed to develop the skills for a lifetime of continued learning and presented in an orderly atmosphere. All instruction will be designed to equip all students spiritually, mentally, and physically for every good work to which the Lord calls them. (Eph. 2:10; Rom. 12:2) As a discipleship Christian school, we require that at least one parent or guardian of each applicant give a credible profession of faith in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior and be a regular attendee or member of a Christian church. At Libertas Academy, we adhere to and teach a biblical view of the holy trinity, creation, sin, Jesus Christ, the Holy Spirit, gender and marriage, and the sanctity of human life. Click here to read our Statement of Beliefs. TK (Transitional Kindergarten) students must be four years of age by September 1. Students entering Kindergarten must have reached the age of five years by September 1. Administration will either advance or retain students at its discretion, based on the entrance assessments. Students should understand that their parents have delegated their authority to the school and are therefore subject to the instruction and discipline of the teachers and deans in their prescribed roles at Libertas Academy. Students seeking admission are evaluated on the basis of their report cards, references, admission questionnaires, interviews, and potential to perform satisfactorily at Libertas Academy. We are not equipped with the resources required to serve children who are seeking to be admitted into special educational programs. Students who seek admission directly following suspension, expulsion, or behavior problems from another school will not be accepted until they prove themselves elsewhere. Students with less than a “C” average in their primary academic subjects may have difficulty in attaining a satisfactory level of academic achievement. The first quarter is considered a trial period for all new students. Libertas Academy admits students of any race, color, national origin, and ethnic origin in all rights, privileges, programs, and activities generally accorded or made available to students at the school. It does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national origin, and ethnic origin in administration of its educational policies, admission policies, scholarship and loan programs, and athletic and other school-administered programs.
  • Step 2: Schedule a Family Interview & Student Assessment (click here)
To proceed with pursuing enrollment, we ask families to schedule a family interview with our Admissions Committee. This interview includes both parents, whenever possible, and the students (grades 4th and up). To request a family interview, please complete the Libertas Academy Interview Request. Once the initial Interview Request form is reviewed and approved, you will be contacted to schedule a Family Interview. You will receive a pastoral reference link. This should be copied and pasted from a personal email to the family’s pastor for his recommendation of the family to our school. After the Family Interview, your student may be invited to bring the student for a student assessment and “shadow day.” This allows your child to get a feel for our school and participate in a regular day at Libertas Academy while the teacher assesses grade readiness. If the Admissions Committee approves your child for enrollment, you will proceed to Step 3.
  • Step 3: Submit Enrollment Application (click here)
Applications for the current school year are accepted on an ongoing basis. Enrollment is open first to returning students and their siblings, then to the public. In order to apply, you will need to provide: The completed Enrollment Application, which will be emailed directly to the family once the interview and shadow day has been completed. Copies of the most recent report card. Pastor’s Reference Form (returned by pastor) Birth certificate (all students) The Admissions Committee will determine final acceptance and grade level placement of students. Parents will be notified of the decision regarding acceptance via email and/or a phone call.
  • Step 4: Tuition Agreement (click here)
If enrollment application is accepted, Libertas Academy will send a Tuition Agreement. See Tuition & Fees. Enrollment is complete once we receive a signed Tuition Agreement and a non-refundable curriculum fee of $350 per student.
