Spotlight
Welcome to our new teachers this year: Monica Ruff (3rd grade), Wesley Loverin (High School Latin), and Rebeccalynn Fauth (Primary and Secondary Art).
High School
We are excited to launch a new elective at the high school this year: Domestic Arts and Sciences (DAS 101). This class will cover multiple disciplines including healthcare & nutrition, time management skills, animal care, gardening basics such as seed sprouting and upkeep, vehicle maintenance, housekeeping, childcare and first aid, and much more.
Academics
“Education is the cultivation of wisdom and virtue, and it is accomplished through nourishing the soul on truth, goodness, and beauty.” – Leigh Bortins. At Libertas Academy, we train the “whole man” – mind, body, and soul. In addition to our rigorous academics this year, we are focusing on cultivating virtue in our students. During the month of September, we are focusing on the cultivation of integrity and what that looks like whether you are a brand new 4 year old TK student or an 18 year old senior high school student.
Athletics
Join us for an important sports information meeting this Tuesday, September 3, right after school on the Sports Court. Our Athletic Director, Coach Derric Salazar, will be discussing news about Cross Country (XC) for both middle school (5th – 8th) and high school (9th – 12th) as well as Girls Basketball (5th – 8th).
From Poverty to Riches
Parents, in sending your child to Libertas Academy, you are giving them a feast as opposed to a snack. You are giving them riches instead of a few coins. As we start this new school year, we invite you to read this blog post from the archives as an encouragement.
